Waldbad Arpke

A small, family-friendly facility nestled in the heart of a beautiful forest. A great alternative to a traditional outdoor pool on hot days.

A lovely little facility with a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. Blankets, towels, drinks, books, and magazines are laid out on the lawn in the middle of the forest, among the trees and bushes. Swimming takes place in the pool located a bit higher up. Here, it doesn’t bother anyone that basketball nets hang at the edge of the pool—the many children are very welcome. However, the hoops were installed for the athletes from TSV Arpke, who hold a big rough-and-tumble basketball tournament here once a year.

Infrastructure

Pool area:
Swimmers: 50×16.5 meters with a 3-meter diving board, a 1-meter diving board, and a separate 15×16.5-meter non-swimmer area; wading pool, 15 square meters with a slide; temperature: 23°C; play mats are available for rent

Facilities:
Restroom, shower, changing room, lawn for sunbathing under the trees

Activities:
Volleyball, table tennis, playground
