Here, each of the 50,000 annual visitors knows exactly where they belong: families with small children play between the wading pool and the non-swimmers’ area, teenagers hang out on the central lawn, and older guests seek shade under the trees. Since 2011, the pool has been operated by the non-profit Hänigser Freibadgenossenschaft, primarily on a volunteer basis. The motto “THE POOL OF EVERYONE FOR EVERYONE” is also its guiding principle. Here, visitors can sense that the pool is lovingly managed and maintained by more than 1,000 volunteers. One of the highlights of this pool is certainly its excellent diving tower facilities. Whether it’s a one-meter, three-meter, five-meter, or ten-meter platform, everything a diver could want is available here.
And for surfers, there’s free Wi-Fi.
