The “Green Chain” in Wennigsen is a scenic cycling route that invites visitors to actively explore the region’s landscape and sights. The loop connects the various neighborhoods of Wennigsen and winds through natural areas, historic sites, and cultural landmarks.

The main loop of the route is about 30 kilometers long; with additional loops through the towns, the route extends to about 38 kilometers.

Along the route, you can discover various aspects of the region—from the unique landscapes of the Deister to historical traces of industrialization and local history. The tour thus offers a combination of physical activity, nature, and cultural insights.
