Wennigsen

Located directly on the Deister, Wennigsen is the smallest municipality in the region, with a population of approximately 14,000. The municipality has eight districts. Even today, the municipal area consists largely of forest and farmland. Businesses in the fields of electrical engineering, precision engineering, and natural cosmetics have established themselves in Wennigsen.
