Abbey
Geographically and culturally, the abbey is the heart of the town of Wunstorf.

The abbey in Wunstorf is a central hub of the town, both geographically and culturally. This historic 15th-century building is now a major venue for cultural events and gatherings in the Region Hannover.
Exhibitions, readings, musical events, lectures, and receptions are held regularly in the abbey’s halls. The program is often planned and organized by local cultural institutions such as the Kunstverein Wunstorf e. V., Pegasus Wunstorf, or the Wunstorf–Flers Twinning Association.
In addition, the abbey houses memorabilia from its former sister city, Arnswalde/Neumark—now known as Choszczno—on the second floor. In this way, the site combines cultural life with historical remembrance.
Various organizations are also based here: The Kulturring Wunstorf und Umgebung e. V. uses the abbey as its headquarters, as does the public library. Thanks to this blend of history, culture, and modern use, the abbey is an important part of cultural life in Wunstorf.
