Hermannshof, Springe-Völksen

Twenty-five kilometers southwest of Hanover, contemporary culture is created and experienced in a unique setting. The expansive park—and, since June 2003, the new “Haus im Park”—serve as a playground and laboratory for artists. Since 1990, the Hermannshof has presented contemporary programs in the visual and performing arts from across Europe. The park landscape on the edge of the Deister refreshes the senses—and opens the mind to discoveries at the intersection of nature and art. Several times a year, artists, art critics, cultural policymakers, and the public gather for a shared exchange in the tea pavilion for the Hermannshof Pavilion Talks.
