Leibniz House

The reconstructed former home and workhouse of Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz is one of the highlights of the old town.

The house was built from 1981-1983 as a reconstruction of the Leibnizhaus from 1652. The original Leibniz House was destroyed in the Second World War. Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz lived in the house from 1698 until his death in 1716.
