Can I cancel my booked city tour?
If you have booked tickets for a public city tour with us, we offer you a free rebooking to a later date up to 48 hours in advance. Please note that certain tours (e.g. culinary tours) are excluded from this.
Do the guided tours also take place in rain or snow?
Our guided tours also take place in rain/snow. Please plan accordingly when choosing your clothes. In the event of bad weather and a possible cancellation, we will inform you on site.
Where can I get tickets for the public tours?
You can purchase tickets for the city tours in our online shop or in person at the Tourist Information Office at Ernst-August-Platz 8. In our online shop, you can conveniently pay for tickets by credit card or PayPal. At the Tourist Information Office, payment can be made in cash or by debit card.
Can seats be reserved for the tour in the double-decker bus?
Please understand that seats on the bus cannot be reserved in advance.
Is there a WC in the double-decker bus?
There are no toilets on our buses. You will find toilets at the New Town Hall or the main railway station, for example.
Are there public toilets at the Tourist Information?
No, there are no public toilets in the Tourist Information. You can find public toilets at the main railway station (directly opposite), for example.
Are dogs allowed on the city tour in the double-decker bus?
Dogs are generally allowed. If other guests are afraid of dogs, it may not be possible to bring them along. We ask that you show consideration for other guests.
Where do the guided tours start?
The meeting point depends on the selected tour. You will find the meeting point for the selected tour in the description of the respective tour and on your voucher.
Are there guided tours for children?
Especially for children, we offer the “Hannover for Smart Kids” tour every Thursday during the Easter, summer, and fall breaks. Children ages 8 and up are welcome to participate; children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Do I have to register in advance for a city tour?
This depends on the respective tour. You can buy tickets for our public city tours and tours in the double-decker bus directly on site. For guided tours through the city districts, culinary tours or special tours, you must purchase tickets in advance.
Can I buy a voucher for a city tour?
In our online store, you can order gift certificates in various denominations. You can then redeem these gift certificates for city tours, souvenirs, activity packages, and much more. Gift certificates for a specific amount are available in person at the Tourist Information Office at Ernst-August-Platz 8.
Are the tours barrier-free?
We offer numerous city tours for wheelchair users, the hearing impaired, blind and visually impaired. Accompanied by experienced tour guides, you will learn lots of interesting facts about the city's history. If you have any questions about the accessibility of individual tours, we will be happy to help you by phone, e-mail or on site.
Tip: Our public hop-on, hop-off city tour is also accessible. The double-decker bus is equipped with two wheelchair spaces and a ramp. Free ride for accompanying persons with a “B” designation on their disability ID card.
