Special opening

The castle’s inner courtyard and two rooms in the north wing—the former stables and the coach house—are open to visitors. The special opening hours will be on November 22 (Marienburg Castle Marathon) and 23, November 29 and 30, and December 6 and 7, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day; admission is free.

Interactive app tour "Time travel around Marienburg Castle"

Since July 16, 2025, the digital tour “A Journey Through Time Around Marienburg” has been available to anyone interested. The tour features 15 multimedia stations along a roughly 500-meter-long loop trail around Marienburg Castle.

Using QR codes - which are displayed on site or can be downloaded in advance - visitors can access a wide range of content on their own smartphone or tablet, including information texts, historical film sequences and impressive 360° images. The tour offers both architectural and historical insights into the history of the castle and its former inhabitants.

The average duration of the tour is around 60 minutes and is ideal for individuals, families or smaller groups who want to experience the castle in a contemporary and flexible way - even when the interior tour is closed.
