What actually began as a hobby went professional in 1995 when René Langer and Kurt Reichenpfader founded the company steyrFire. Right from the start, the company has concentrated primarily on musical fireworks displays, with the emphasis on a promising mix of classical, funk, rock, and pop music. It has already proved the quality of its work in the course of highly diverse assignments and competitions. Their show at the opening ceremony of “Linz09 – European Capital of Culture”, for example, met with great international acclaim. The team’s references include 1st place at the Potsdam Feuerwerkssinfonie in the years 2007, 2008 and 2015, 1st place at the Festival International d’Art Pyrotechnique in France and 2nd place at Malta International Fireworks Festival in 2014.
