Maschsee Festival: Program for August 1

4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: NRK Duck Race

The northern shore of Lake Maschsee will once again be the site of a very special charity event for people suffering from leukemia or blood cancer.

There is a Big Ducks race featuring 100 sponsors—companies and organizations from Hannover and the surrounding area—competing for the titles of “Most Beautiful Duck” and “Fastest Duck” on the north shore of Lake Maschsee. This is followed by the 5,000 Race Ducks race, open to anyone who wants to participate. The 5,000 Race Ducks can be “adopted” by their sponsors—that is, you can purchase one of the 5,000 numbered “adoption certificates” online (see below) or at one of the sales locations in Hannover and the surrounding region, and you’ll have a great chance to win one of the 100 prizes. Anyone can enter a little duck in the race!

For as little as 5 euros, anyone can sponsor one of the 5,000 “Race-Ducks” and, at the same time, support the fight against blood cancer with a donation. The proceeds from the sale will be used to register potential new donors. In addition, every sponsor has a chance to win a prize. There are great prizes for the first 100 numbered ducks to cross the finish line, including:

• 1st Place: Airfare for 2 people from TUI Deutschland
• 2nd place: 1,000 euros from Toto Lotto Niedersachsen
• 3rd place: 500 euros from Hannoversche Volksbank

A true veteran of the Hannover music scene is taking the stage at Maschsee: DJ Franky (still known to many as DJ Babyface)! He’s been living and breathing DJing since 1988 and has shaped the dance floors of the region’s most renowned clubs over the past few decades—from legendary nights at Palo Palo, Acanto, and Groove Garden to Check In (at the GOP) and Orly.

Japan Meets Maschsee – HeimW brings a taste of Tokyo to the north shore with the finest sushi artistry.

7:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.: Cengoxi B2B DJ Toasty

Week after week, Cengoxi B2B DJ Toasty deliver the perfect soundtrack, featuring driving Afro House, emotional Melodic House, and rousing Latin House sounds.

We promise a booth that will transport you straight to the heart of Greece with its aesthetic beauty and enticing scents. 

8:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.: DJ Loverence

As a resident DJ at the well-known Hannover venues Cumberlandsche and Vino3000, and as one of Tulum’s very first DJs, he knows exactly how to get the crowd fired up. 

2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: A variety of activities on the children's playground

• With fantastic creative activities from “Xie-Xie Leisure and Experiential Education for Children,” you can make wonderful party favors, get a temporary tattoo, and use your imagination to transform yourself into a lion, a princess, and much more with face painting.
• "Saubermänner Hannover GmbH" invites you to marvel and jump. They'll be bringing their awesome bouncy castle, a street sweeper, and a winter vehicle for you to climb into.
• "Hannover Zoo" will be stopping by with the walking act Tatzi and will have some fun activities and little gifts in store.

Legal guardians are responsible for supervising the children. A coffee cart serves up delicious specialty coffees!

6:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.: DJ Kai Schwarz

Flawless mixing, top-notch track selection, creative remixes—Hamburg’s VIP DJ never misses a beat when it comes to getting his crowd moving.

Spanish Mediterranean Cuisine, Tapas & Paella

3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: De Leineschippers from Hannover

The popular choir will once again delight and captivate the audience with highlights from the shanty scene and maritime tunes.

5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Captain Taylor

The lively entertainer from the Hamborger Veermaster sings maritime songs and evergreens.

7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: Dancing by the lake

Dance your way across the dance floor to atmospheric songs and classics.
