Maschsee Festival: Schedule for August 2

4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: NP Summer Festival

As you’d expect from a summer festival by the lake, there’s one thing above all else: plenty of entertainment and music! From live bands, up-and-comers, renowned artists, DJs, and dance acts. On July 26, NP host Josina Kelz will welcome the following performers, among others, to the stage:

• Dominik Büchele. In 2009, the singer from the Black Forest placed fourth on DSDS; today, he’s on tour with his band. Together, they bring soulful indie folk to the stage.
• GOP: The variety theater presents performers from its current show, “Zweifach Magisch.”
• Hannover Dances by the Lake: Every Sunday, starting around 6:15 p.m., the NP transforms the Maschsee Seebühne into a dance floor. Dance instructors from the Bothe dance schools lead the crowd in Discofox and other dances.
• DJ Jasper will kick off the dance party by the lake at 7 p.m.

2:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.: Pink & White Festival

The Groove Garden is transforming into the perfect summer spot for all house music lovers. Get ready for a day full of good vibes, daytime drinking, and a festival atmosphere. LINEUP: HABAMA BROTHERS (percussion & DJ set) + DJ Aiello (Sunday Funday resident) + Birdyy B2B Tafelberg + more DJs TBA

3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: HAZ Wine Tasting

With a spectacular view of the Maschsee and a small selection of delicious wines to accompany the tasting, experienced experts from the wine bar across the street will present five exquisite wines. Tickets/registration at: eventim.de

2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: A variety of activities on the children's playground

• With fantastic creative activities from “Xie-Xie Leisure and Experiential Education for Children,” you can make wonderful party favors, get a temporary tattoo, and use your imagination to transform yourself into a lion, a princess, and much more with face painting.
• "Saubermänner Hannover GmbH" invites you to marvel and jump. They'll be bringing their awesome bouncy castle, a street sweeper, and a winter vehicle for you to climb into.
• "Hannover Zoo" will be stopping by with the walking act Tatzi and will have some fun activities and little gifts in store.

Legal guardians are responsible for supervising the children. A coffee cart serves up delicious specialty coffees!

6:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.: DJ Matrix

DJ Matrix performs at clubs and events throughout northern Germany. His musical diversity is what really sets him apart as a DJ. He delivers a Sunday sound cocktail that brings the weekend back to life.

Spanish Mediterranean Cuisine, Tapas & Paella

2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Just for Fun – the Women's Shanty Choir

Originally, Just for Fun was intended to serve as a preliminary choir for the main choir of the Shanty-Chor-Lohnde von 1989 e.V., but things turned out differently. Instead of finding “new blood” for the shanty choir, this choir group completely took on a life of its own, and the women, who loved to sing, developed a momentum that could no longer be stopped. The ladies sang purely for the joy of it, and that’s exactly what they call themselves: “Just for Fun.” This year, the women celebrated their 15th anniversary, and it’s impossible to imagine the Seelze music scene without them.

4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Lohnde Shanty Choir

The Shantyhor Lohnde can look back on more than 35 years of musical seafaring. Performances throughout northern Germany, on radio and television—including ZDF and RTL—alongside renowned artists, as well as on international stages, have made the crew popular and well-known far beyond the borders of their hometown. Whether at the Harbor Birthday celebrations in Bristol, the Steuben Parade in New York, or on cruise ships from Nice all the way to St. Petersburg.

6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: Dancing by the lake

Dance your way across the dance floor to atmospheric songs and classics.

NDR Health and Happiness Day

• 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. NDR 1 Lower Saxony "Der Sonntag": Live radio with Christian Haacke from the Glass Studio Tent
• 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. NDR 1 Lower Saxony "Sport aktuell": The radio sports magazine with Bertil Starke, live from the Glass Studio Tent
• 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.: Live on stage, ARD’s “Ernährungs-Doc” Dr. Jörn Klasen and podcast host Julia Demann share health tips. In the live-on-stage podcast “NDR 2 – Die Paartherapie,” Maria Richter and Sascha Sommer offer relationship advice. Regine Stünkel presents the “Zum Glück” segment from NDR 1 Niedersachsen. There will also be talks and interactive activities on stage with Regine Stünkel (NDR 1 Niedersachsen) and Sascha Sommer (NDR 2) involving the audience.
• 6:00 p.m. until the end Chill Out with Happy Sounds on the Shores of Lake Masch

12:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.: Daydrinking 

No more nights that don't end until 4 a.m. Day drinking in San Francisco, California, starts early; the crowd enjoys cool drinks, great beats, and celebrates life while the sun is still out.

3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: '80s Pop and Wave & Darkwave with DJ Lo-Renz

DJ Lo-Renz takes the audience on a journey through '80s pop, new wave, and darkwave. With a mix of synth-pop, Depeche Mode vibes, darker classics, and danceable favorites, he creates the perfect soundtrack for the Maschsee.

6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.: Prayers For Rain

Prayers For Rain bring the unmistakable sound of The Cure to the stage. Melancholic, atmospheric, and yet danceable, the band brings that special Cure vibe to life on stage. For fans of new wave, post-punk, and great songs that straddle the line between darkness and euphoria.

6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: Connemara Stone Company

The Connemara Stone Company brings the musical soul of Ireland to the stage. With traditional folk songs, soulful ballads, and lively pub classics, the band captivates its audience and creates an authentic Irish pub atmosphere.

The musical experience is complemented by a selection of traditional Irish specialties—from hearty Irish stew to Guinness, cider, and authentic Irish whiskey.
