Maschsee Stage

7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: The HAZ and Neue Presse are celebrating the start of the Maschsee Festival with the band Vergeben

The live band Vergeben has made it their mission to cover pop, rock, and funk songs with unique, handcrafted arrangements. As passionate artists from Hanover, they set out to turn every event into an unforgettable and unique experience. They’ve proven this time and again at the Maschseefest. Now their dedication is being rewarded: the band will open the Seesause for the first time.

On Lake Maschsee

4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.: Maschsee Festival Opening & Finals

To kick things off, the Maschsee Festival and the 2026 Finals will open at 4 p.m. with a joint show program lasting just under 90 minutes on the north shore. The backdrop for this will be a floating stage on the Maschsee. Belit Onay, Mayor of Hannover; Jens Palandt, First Regional Councilor of the Region Hannover; and Daniela Behrens, Lower Saxony’s Minister of Sports, will discuss both major events and their significance for Hannover, the surrounding area, and Lower Saxony in interviews. Hagen Boßdorf, Managing Director of the Finals, will introduce the sports and venues of the Finals as well as selected male and female athletes. André Lawiszus, Managing Director of HVG, will discuss the significance of the 38th Maschsee Festival for Hannover. The Finals and the Maschsee Festival will be kicked off musically by the Hannover rock stars Fury in the Slaughterhouse, singer and actress Lina Larissa Strahl, and DJ KitCut.

6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: Rheingau Meets Maschsee – Spreitzer Winery at Aresto

The Spreitzer Winery, one of the leading wineries in the Rheingau region, will be our guest at Aresto. Look forward to the opportunity to taste a selection of wines by the glass and visit one of the most renowned wineries in a relaxed atmosphere right on the shores of Lake Masch.

Bolero IslandThe lakefront terraces are the perfect spot for relaxed evenings and long nights of partying by the lake. This is where the shakers are shaken and the dancing happens. A different DJ every day keeps the party going.

7:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.: Maschseefest Opening with DJ AIELLO & Specials

None other than Hanover’s scene icon DJ AIELLO will be taking the decks at Nordufer. With a rousing mix of Latin vibes, house, and club classics, he’ll transform this beach lounge into the hottest spot on the lake on opening day.

Ferris wheelThe 38-meter-high “White Wheel,” with 24 enclosed gondolas, stands on the plaza in front of the Heinz von Heiden Arena and offers a panoramic view of the festival grounds. A ride costs 7 euros for adults and 5 euros for children under ten.

6:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.: Opening of Aperitivo Bay

DJ MattNautique from Hamburg will start things off with some cool sundowner beats and then get the dance floor going with the best of house classics and modern club tunes.

Food Mile WestHere you can find burgers, pizza, and crêpes—perfect for a hearty meal or a sweet dessert while strolling through the Maschseefest.

Adria LoungeThe idyllic roundabout at Geibeltreff is transformed into a small Mediterranean oasis.
Food Mile EastThe food court on the north and east sides of the lake has something for everyone. In addition to popular classics from last year, four new concepts are adding a special touch this year: vegan specialties, panini, tacos, and Maultaschen to go round out the selection. Enjoy a cold drink while taking a leisurely stroll along the shore.
Indulgence-GeibelThis Scandinavian fishing village offers a unique culinary experience.
Ohana BeachRight on the waterfront, between the Halfway House and Pier 51, the Maschseefest offers a taste of Hawaii right in the heart of Hannover.

5:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.: Antenne Niedersachsen Summer Opening

San Francisco/California kicks off the summer with Antenne Niedersachsen, bringing the hottest favorite hits, cool drinks, and a real festival vibe right to the San Francisco/California venue.

Dinner ClubRight on the shores of Maschsee, creative, modern cuisine meets refreshing drinks and carefully selected wines.

Maschsee Spring

7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: Die Toten Ärzte

Two iconic bands, one explosive show: Die Toten Ärzte bring the biggest hits from Die Toten Hosen and Die Ärzte to the stage. Punk rock, sing-along moments, and tons of energy meet confetti, a joy of performing, and a festival atmosphere. An evening for everyone who loves “Schrei nach Liebe,” “Tage wie diese,” and uncompromising German rock.

South Pier

7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: The Keltics

The Keltics are among Germany’s best-known Irish folk rock bands and thrill their audiences with a unique blend of traditional Irish sounds and modern rock elements. With fiddle, guitar, bagpipes, and harmonies, they create an atmosphere that immediately brings to mind the pubs and festivals of the Emerald Isle. Their varied repertoire ranges from soulful ballads to spirited folk anthems that invite the audience to sing along, dance, and celebrate. 

The musical experience is complemented by a selection of traditional Irish specialties—from hearty Irish stew to Guinness, cider, and authentic Irish whiskey.
