Maschsee Festival: Program for July 23

6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: NP Summer Festival

As you’d expect from a summer festival by the lake, there’s one thing above all else: plenty of entertainment and music! From live bands, up-and-comers, well-known artists, DJs, and dance acts. On July 23, NP host Josina Kelz will welcome the following performers to the stage, among others:

• Midnight Club. The Hamburg-based band will provide the evening’s musical entertainment. Singer and violinist Linny Johnson is known for her appearances on “The Voice of Germany” and “DSDS,” and singer Heiko Schmidt, “Kahro,” even made it all the way to the finals of “The Voice of Holland.”
• Niki Tall: Thanks to his music, the Afro-beats artist from Hannover has become a superstar in West Africa.
• Finals: One special feature of this first Maschseefest Thursday: The NP Summer Festival’s show program will also include the award ceremonies for the finals. On July 23, the rugby champions, among others, will be crowned.

6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: Big Bottle Night

Seven select wines served exclusively from magnum bottles, which are otherwise only available by the bottle.

9:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.: DJ Skipper sets the tone for the HeimW at the Maschseefest

From house to Afrohouse, from hip-hop to pop: When DJ Skipper takes the reins, there’s no way anyone at the lake will be able to keep still.

Japan Meets Maschsee – HeimW brings a taste of Tokyo to the north shore with the finest sushi artistry.

8:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.: Tulum Club Night with DJ Tommy

DJ Tommy, a resident star at Hannover's iconic EVE Klub, will be spinning the perfect beats at Maschsee.

6:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.: DJ Kai Schwarz

Hamburg's VIP DJ Kai Schwarz kicks off the weekend as early as Thursday.

5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Blaue Jungs Bolzum Shanty Choir

“Always sailing into the wind” is the motto of the blue guys from Bolzum—a district of the town of Sehnde, about 11 nautical miles southeast of Hannover.

7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: Dancing by the lake

Dance your way across the dance floor to atmospheric songs and classics.

5:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.: California Summer Beats

Summer Beats in San Francisco, California, with a DJ.

7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: Let There Be Scott

Bon Scott lives on—and loud! Let There Be Scott brings the AC/DC years 1974–1979 back to the stage: pure energy, sweat, and blazing guitar riffs

Dishes from more than 10 different countries: From the Food Highway to the Urban Garden and the Löwenbastion Show Plaza—there’s plenty to experience here! 

7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: Open-Air Table Quiz

Quizzing under the open sky: The Open-Air Table Quiz calls for knowledge, team spirit, and a little bit of intuition. Register for the Table Quiz via the reservation portal on the Maschseefest website (see link below).

3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: The Keltics

The Keltics are among Germany’s best-known Irish folk rock bands and thrill their audiences with a unique blend of traditional Irish sounds and modern rock elements. With fiddle, guitar, bagpipes, and harmonies, they create an atmosphere that immediately brings to mind the pubs and festivals of the Emerald Isle. Their varied repertoire ranges from soulful ballads to spirited folk anthems that invite the audience to sing along, dance, and celebrate. 

7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: Under Pressure Trio

With traditional Irish folk songs, popular pub classics, and rousing melodies, the musicians create an evening full of joy and good cheer.

The musical experience is complemented by a selection of traditional Irish specialties—from hearty Irish stew to Guinness, cider, and authentic Irish whiskey.
