Maschsee Festival: Program for July 28

6:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: HAZ presents the “Musste hören! Live III” festival

At the first “Musste hören” festival, more than a dozen musicians each performed three songs accompanied by a live band formed specifically for the event. The diversity of pop music was celebrated with its own music fair. And, of course, such an impressive festival has to be repeated. Performing at the third edition are: KARGO, Mama, Linski, Jeanie, Esther Odefey, VINTER, Reddym, Kunstloses Brot, Toni Vice, and Janyna. The accompanying band consists of Musical Director Nic Knoll, Peer Bothmer, Lena Plogsties, Stefan Püschel, and Finn MacCormac. The HAZ crew led by Volker Wiedersheim and Emily Bader has more surprises in store. You can’t get more Hannover pop culture in a single evening than this.

2:00 p.m./3:00 p.m./4:00 p.m.: Maschsee Pirates

Captain Zopf (Elisa Salamanca), along with ship’s boy Mathjes (Mathias Lück) and stowaway Clown Fidolo (Horst Schneider), is looking forward to new adventures and to coming up with all sorts of pirate shenanigans, solving the occasional oceanic mystery, and spinning all kinds of sailor’s tall tales. Together with the parrot Bounty, the Pirate Jennies, and helmsman Achim from Üstra, they set sail, sing offbeat pirate songs, and—with a little luck—even find the key to the treasure chest. Always along for the ride is a duffel bag full of music. A fantastic musical sea-themed play for children ages 4 to 10—and one that parents or grandparents accompanying them will also enjoy! Ticket price: Children and adults €7.50 plus advance booking fee. Tickets are available exclusively online. Any remaining tickets will be sold on the day of the event starting at 1:30 p.m. directly at the Stadion pier.

6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: Drink Pink

Rosé in the Spotlight – A Delightful Journey Through Europe’s Wine Regions: From Germany through Provence and over the Brenner Pass to Italy, you’ll discover a selection of rosé wines with diverse characters and styles.

Lindenblatt will be featured at the 2026 Maschsee Festival in partnership with Aresto. Together, Ferdi Simsek and Ferhan Ekinci will bring their many years of culinary experience to the north shore of Lake Maschsee.

6:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.: DJ Matrix meets Saxophone

A superb saxophone performance meets top-notch DJing. DJ Matrix and Mr. Slava complement each other perfectly. That’s what makes Tuesday such a special event. The sound they create together is truly one-of-a-kind, thanks to Mr. Slava’s virtuoso improvisation.

5:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.: Antenne Niedersachsen After Work with DJ Tom

7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: Shahin Shahidi – The Sunny Boy

With his mix of current hits, popular classics, and party anthems, he brings that summer feeling, good vibes, and the perfect atmosphere for an unforgettable night at the Löwenbastion!

Dishes from more than 10 different countries: From the Food Highway to the Urban Garden and the Löwenbastion Show Plaza—there’s plenty to experience here! 

3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Peaky Pluckers

With traditional folk songs, well-known classics, and plenty of enthusiasm, the musicians provide top-notch entertainment.

7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: Under Pressure Trio

With traditional Irish folk songs, popular pub classics, and rousing melodies, the musicians create an evening full of joy and good cheer.

The musical experience is complemented by a selection of traditional Irish specialties—from hearty Irish stew to Guinness, cider, and authentic Irish whiskey.
