Maschsee Festival: Schedule for August 8

5:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: HAZ Family Day with live music and DJ sets

• 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Take a trip back to a time when music still had soul: The Briccs celebrate the sound of the '50s, '60s, and '70s with songs by Chuck Berry, Tina Turner, the Rolling Stones, and The Shadows. Good music knows no age
• 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.: The Rockhouse Brothers’ zest for life and positive energy are contagious. All three sing, but the show also features humorous and sometimes acrobatic interludes. The band has its roots firmly in ’50s rock ’n’ roll, rockabilly, and blues, but has since become popular for its renditions of well-known anthems.
• 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: Drawing on funk, soul, and hip-hop, Miss Al Jay (Anissa) blends these influences with electronic sounds to create a fluid, genre-spanning set. As a singer, she loves to weave together sounds, moods, and genres to create an atmosphere all her own. Groovy, warm, and full of feeling—always carried by good vibes that connect, move, and bring the dance floor to life. As a FLINTA* person and Romnja, Maszlos (Marilén) uses her music to create visibility, resistance, and self-empowerment. Her sets are energetic and emotional, personal, and delivered with great sensitivity toward the crowd, set to driving basslines and plenty of percussion.!

9:30 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.: Torch Swimmers

This year, the Tauch-Club Hannover e.V. and other clubs are inviting everyone to the traditional torchlight swim in Hannover. Starting at 9:30 p.m., more than 100 swimmers carrying torches and club emblems will transform the Maschsee into a sparkling sea of lights as they swim the approximately 2-kilometer course. The torchlight swimmers will set off from the west shore of the Maschsee.

9:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.: DJ Skipper

From house to Afrohouse, from hip-hop to pop: When DJ Skipper takes the reins, there’s not a single foot that stays still by the lake! He’s been hitting the club dance floors as a professional DJ and VJ since 2010, and after more than 15 years behind the decks, he knows exactly how to get the crowd fired up.

Japan Meets Maschsee – HeimW brings a taste of Tokyo to the north shore with the finest sushi artistry.

7:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.: Cengoxi B2B DJ Toasty

Week after week, Cengoxi B2B DJ Toasty deliver the perfect soundtrack, featuring driving Afro House, emotional Melodic House, and rousing Latin House sounds.

We promise a booth that will transport you straight to the heart of Greece with its aesthetic beauty and enticing scents. 

8:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.: DJ Loverence

As a resident DJ at the well-known Hannover venues Cumberlandsche and Vino3000, and as one of Tulum’s very first DJs, he knows exactly how to get the crowd fired up. 

2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: A variety of activities on the children's playground

• With fantastic creative activities from “Xie-Xie Leisure and Experiential Education for Children,” you can make wonderful party favors, get a temporary tattoo, and use your imagination to transform yourself into a lion, a princess, and much more with face painting.
• Things get pretty wild during the hobby horsing event with the “Turn-Klubb Hannover.” Plus, the young athletes can do gymnastics, run around, throw, and jump in true Olympic style at five different stations of the TKH Kids’ Olympics.
• The “next talents” are setting up various basketball stations that are sure to provide plenty of action and fun.
• The “Johanniter-Unfallhilfe” will also be there again with a real ambulance that the children can explore while learning some basic first-aid techniques.
• The “Hannover Upcycling Exchange” presents fun games about waste prevention and offers a playful introduction to the carpenter’s trade.
• "Hannover Zoo" will be stopping by with the walking act Tatzi and will have some fun activities and little gifts in store.
• And “enercity AG” is providing a giant bouncy castle for the kids to let off some steam!

Legal guardians are responsible for supervising the children. A coffee cart serves up delicious specialty coffees!

6:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m.: DJ Team E.Q.T.

DJing meets live percussion: The two DJs from E.Q.T. mix club hits with live drums. In doing so, they take the music off its usual path and spice up their set with live sampling.

6:30–8:30 p.m.: Rock & Party with Radio 21 and Hotspot

Named the “Best Cover Band in Rhineland-Palatinate 2025,” HOTSPOT is a top-tier act that has been a fixture at national events for more than 10 years. With a rousing performance and state-of-the-art show technology, HOTSPOT guarantees the perfect entertainment experience.

9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: Rock & Party with Radio 21 and Hellfire

What began as a tribute to one of the greatest rock bands of all time is now an integral part of the German rock scene. With a blend of energy, authenticity, and respect for AC/DC’s legacy, HELLFIRE has not only thrilled its own fans over the past 21 years, but has also inspired the rock community as a whole.

Enjoy first-class drinks while taking in the view of Lake Maschsee, accompanied by relaxing lounge music and delicious snacks and meals from Rodizio Baumhaus.

3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.: Graf Luckner Shanty Choir

The Graf Luckner Shanty Choir celebrated its 40th anniversary last year. The choir was founded back then when a few members of the Burgdorf Naval Veterans’ Association wanted to sing—and thus preserve—traditional sea shanties.

5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: Captain Taylor

The lively entertainer from the Hamborger Veermaster sings maritime songs and evergreens.

7:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: Dancing by the lake

Dance your way across the dance floor to atmospheric songs and classics.

The NDR Nature Adventure Day with a Special Musical Guest from NDR 2

• 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. NDR 1 Lower Saxony "Der Sonnabend": Live radio with Sören Oelrichs from the Glass Studio Tent
• 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. NDR 1 Lower Saxony "Sport aktuell": The radio sports magazine with Susanne Neuß, live from the Glass Studio Tent
• 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Live on stage with exciting animal and nature documentaries: Filmmakers will show exclusive clips from programs such as ARD’s “Erlebnis Erde,” NDR’s “Expeditionen,” and ARTE’s “Unsere Meere.” The NDR Radio Philharmonic Orchestra will perform the soundtrack to “Unsere Meere.” Christina von Saß will host the stage event. Later in the evening, Mel Lidsba, head of N-JOY and NDR 2, will present the NDR pop radio programs.
• 6:00–7:00 p.m.: Live on stage with NDR 2 special guest Marc Atlas (unplugged), followed by a meet-and-greet.
• 7:00 p.m. until the end Chill Out with Happy Sounds on the Shores of Lake Masch

7:00 p.m. – 1:00 a.m.: Antenne Niedersachsen Sunset Session with DJ Tom

Mind2Mode brings together the music of Simple Minds, U2, and Depeche Mode in a spectacular tribute show.
