Maschsee Festival: Program for August 9

4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: NP Summer Festival

As you’d expect from a summer festival by the lake, there’s one thing above all else: plenty of entertainment and music! From live bands, up-and-comers, renowned artists, DJs, and dance acts. On July 26, NP host Josina Kelz will welcome the following performers, among others, to the stage:

• Mitchy & André. The brother duo from Gehrden rose to fame in 2015 after appearing on “The Voice of Germany”; in Málaga, they performed as the opening act for Robbie Williams.
• GOP: The variety theater presents performers from its current show, “Zweifach Magisch.”
• Hannover Dances by the Lake: Every Sunday, starting around 6:15 p.m., the NP transforms the Maschsee Seebühne into a dance floor. Dance instructors from the Bothe dance schools lead the crowd in Discofox and other dances.
• DJ Jasper will kick off the dance party by the lake at 7 p.m.

3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: HAZ Wine Tasting

With a spectacular view of the Maschsee and a small selection of delicious wines to accompany the tasting, experienced experts from the wine bar across the street will present five exquisite wines. Tickets/registration at: eventim.de

2:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.: A variety of activities on the children's playground

• With fantastic creative activities from “Xie-Xie Leisure and Experiential Education for Children,” you can make wonderful party favors, get a temporary tattoo, and use your imagination to transform yourself into a lion, a princess, and much more with face painting.
• At “Hannover 96,” the soccer academy is where the young players of tomorrow are discovered! Alternatively, you can let off some steam at the dartboard.
• "Mattel" is showcasing three fantastic play stations and a photo booth to capture unforgettable moments.
• "Hannover Zoo" will be stopping by with the walking act Tatzi and will have some fun activities and little gifts in store.

Legal guardians are responsible for supervising the children. A coffee cart serves up delicious specialty coffees!

6:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.: DJ MattNautique

DJ MattNautique from Hamburg will start things off with some cool sundowner beats and then get the dance floor going with the best of house classics and modern club tunes. 

Spanish Mediterranean Cuisine, Tapas & Paella

2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: StörteBäcker

The StörteBäcker are the singing “smutjes” among German shanty choirs. The group was founded in 1982 when a group of singing-loving master bakers from Hannover—members of the Hannover Bakers’ Guild Men’s Choir of 1878—chose Mardorf, on the shores of Lake Steinhuder Meer, as their retirement home so they could pursue their passions for singing and sailing after a day of baking.

4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.: Hallerschipper Shanty Choir

The Hallerschipper describe themselves as “the slightly different shanty choir.” Traditional sea shanties by Freddy and Hans Albers are, of course, part of their repertoire, but Captain Michael Vieth has also developed his own style of performing these classics. The choir adds a special touch with maritime pop hits.

6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.: Dancing by the lake

Dance your way across the dance floor to atmospheric songs and classics.

The Grand Finale with Stars on Sunday XXL

• 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. NDR 1 Lower Saxony "Stars on Sunday XXL": Live radio with Arne-Torben Voigts and many celebrities from the Glass Studio Tent
• 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.: Live on stage with Ulf Ansorge and numerous celebrities, including Margot Käßmann, Thorsten Schröder from *Tagesschau*, the Hannover-based chart-toppers Marquess, and other surprise guests.
• 7:30 p.m. NDR Television live reporter segment with Arne-Torben Voigts on "Hallo Niedersachsen"
• 6:00 p.m. until the end Chill Out with Happy Sounds on the Shores of Lake Masch

12:00 p.m. – 12:00 a.m.: California Closing 

Before summer comes to an end, let's really let loose one last time.

6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.: Break Every Rule

"Break Every Rule" is an energetic tribute to Tina Turner, the Queen of Rock 'n' Roll. With a powerful voice, strong grooves, and plenty of passion, the band brings her greatest hits to life on stage.

12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.: The Folkues

The Folkues captivate audiences with a diverse mix of Irish and Scottish folk classics. Using traditional instruments, harmonious vocals, and a genuine love of music, the musicians create an atmosphere reminiscent of the pubs and festivals of the Celtic countries.

6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: The Hoochigans

For the grand finale at the Südanleger, The Hoochigans will provide a rousing closing night with their distinctive blend of Irish folk and folk punk. The band combines traditional Irish melodies with modern influences, plenty of energy, and a healthy dose of party spirit.

The musical experience is complemented by a selection of traditional Irish specialties—from hearty Irish stew to Guinness, cider, and authentic Irish whiskey.
