Cumberland Gallery
This historic, landmark-protected building serves as a venue for small-scale theater productions, readings, and parties.
The Cumberland Gallery was built between 1883 and 1886 as an extension of the Museum of Science and Art. The gallery is named after the last Crown Prince of Hanover, as it was intended primarily to house the Guelph family’s art treasures.

Today, the Cumberlandsche Galerie forms a rear wing of the Schauspielhaus and is used for various events. The gallery gets its special charm from its large staircase with a three-flight staircase with cast-iron supports and railings.
